Four Seasons Disney Resort

Golden Oak, Florida
2018

Reflecting the Spanish Revival architecture of Florida’s golden age, lakeside Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort offers 443 spacious guest rooms, including 68 suites. The Resort also boasts four restaurants, three chic lounges, a learning kitchen, and several intimate private dining rooms situated throughout the resort.

In order to mitigate noise build up in the restaurants, bars, lounges, private dining rooms, and display kitchen, Siebein Associates conducted specialized acoustical testing in each of the rooms to determine the surfaces that needed treatment. Due to the aesthetic of the dining areas, special care was taken to design and incorporate high end materials to match the upscale interior design.

Acoustical measurements were also made in the various restaurants and private dining rooms in the resort to document ambient sound levels, so as to compare them with projected sound levels during high use dining hours and events.

Siebein Associates provided a custom acoustic palette of detailed recommendations for the acoustic finishes in each of the dining rooms, lounges, and display kitchen. This included strategically placing sound absorbing material to reduce reflections from the daily morning character breakfasts held in the open two story Ravello Restaurant, as well as replacing sound reflective decorations with sound absorptive materials with the same apparent finish to match the room’s décor.
